Staff and Snapshots
Dr. Susan Ferguson works at our hospital on Wednesdays and every other Saturday. She is a long time friend of Dr. Dana's and graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2000 from TAMU. Dr. Susan lives with her family of 4, a couple of cats, dogs & horses.
JoAnne is our office manager who helped create the Cat Hospital in 2002. She takes care of the office chores, decorates, techs and provides loving care for all our patients. Now that her children are grown, Jo and her husband share their home with three special kitties.
Ellen is our head technician who is a source information about cats and offers excellence in patient care. Ellen has been with us ... well ... forever, too and runs her own diabetic cat website. Ellen and her husband have 3 cats (or is it 2 & 3/4 ? Ask her sometime...).
Nancy is our technician seen here grooming a Persian (who is sedated and feeling groovy). Nancy has a been a technician for most of her life. She has worked with all sorts of animals, but enjoys working with cats the most for all the obvious reasons. Nancy and her family have 4 cats, dogs and a horse.
Thea is our technician who has been with us since we opened in 2002 ~ initially working for free to help us get on our feet. Thea has 7 cats, 2 of which were Cat Hospital adoptees with special needs. Thea and her husband have 2 children (1 in college), the kitty crew, 1 dog, birds and many, many fish.
Minnow is our resident clinic kitty. He is a Cornish Rex (yep, his hair really does grow that way) given to us by breeder Linda Usher. He is such a little clown whose job is to greet and entertain guests. Minnow often hangs out in the waiting area but is sometimes found napping on a computer monitor or other cozy spots in the clinic.
