Dr. Dusty Goucher, a long time friend and classmate of Dr. Dana's, has been helping us out since we opened in 2002. She and her husband are both veterinarians who own a small animal hospital in Fate. Dr. Dusty's special interest is surgery, and we sometimes refer surgical patients to her hospital. She and her family have lots of pets. Dr. Dusty understands our philosophy and continues to fit us like a charm.
Allen is our office manager who doubles as a technician when needed. He is a big time animal lover and is one of those lucky individuals who shared a great part of his life with a special cat who lived for 21 years. He is seen here giving attention to a kitty visitor who needed a little TLC to feel secure during its stay. Like Dr. Dana, Allen has 3 cats, a horse, birds, and fish.....hummmmm. He has dedicated himself to watching over our hospital.
Ellen is our head technician who has been working with us since 2003. She and Dr. Dana have been through many cases together. Ellen offers excellence in patient and client care. She is a wonderful source of information, capable of handling a wide range of tasks. A true-blue cat fancier, Ellen and her husband have 3 cats (or is it 2 & 3/4 )? Ask her sometime.
Thea is the first technician that started with the Cat Hospital when it opened doors in the summer of 2002. Thea is willing and able to take each case from start to finish. Thea, and her family of 4, have several cats, cat-like dogs, a bird and fish. Originally a Holland transplant, she loves to travel but is always eager to get back to her home life too.
Truly a person who has "done it all" in her life, JoAnne helped start the CHofCC from the ground up and has done every job in the clinic at some point. We wouldn't be here without her help. She is semi-retired now, but we refuse to let her off the hook completely. She still covers shifts from time to time. JoAnne and her husband have 3 grown children, multiple grandchildren, and have two cats too.
Barbara and Steve, hubby and wife, have been caring for our boarding cats on weekends since 2006. They both enjoy the kitty visitors, taking time to pamper each kitty in the way each cat prefers/dictates. They both have careers independent of the CH, but really do this just because they truly like cats. They are a real joy to be around, sharing their positive energy with us all. Barb & Steve have several cats and dogs of their own.
