| Dr. Dana Crigger received a B.B.A. from East Texas State University in 1991 after which she began working in a variety of veterinary clinics. One of the most influential veterinarians in her career was Dr. Trish Rife who continues to practice in Greenville, TX. "Dr. Rife shared my love of cats, and would tell stories of her experiences completing an externship at an all cat hospital in New York." It was always entertaining visiting Dr.Rife as she seemed to have a cat in every corner of her house and on every tree branch outside of it. Years later Dr. Dana visited one of those ‘cat only clinics’ during a visit to Houston. "Immediately when I walked in the door, I was hooked. This veterinary clinic was different. It was quiet, clean and even had carpet! The level of medicine and care available to these cats was outstanding. I knew at that moment that a cat hospital was where I wanted to be."
In 1996 Dr. Dana was accepted into the veterinary program at Texas A&M Univeristy where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 2000. After graduation Dr. Dana went to work for Dr. Mike Overton in Allen, TX who become her second true mentor.
In the summer of 2002, together with the support of her family and friends, Dr.Dana set out to pursue her dream of providing an extraordinary veterinary clinic devoted exclusively to cats and their people. Today Dr. Dana and her family share their lives with four very special cats (one of which is 20 years young). |
